Tomorrow Americans have the privilege of casting their votes for the candidates that best represent their values. The nature of politics is distasteful. Thankfully we live in a country where we have the right to speak freely and vote for our choice of representation. Colorado is one of the swing states where every vote counts due to the closeness of the races and the power balance of the parties in government. We have been bombarded through every type of media with campaign promises, and allegations. All Americans have the opportunity and the duty to vote by tomorrow. Apathy leads to misrepresentation. Fill out those ballots, have your say and be done with it. I am grateful for this privilege and the end of campaigning.
This image was captured during the 4th of July parade in Crested Butte. This beautiful mountain community values its land resources of gorgeous mountains, valleys, streams, and rivers, and the the privilege of freedom of speech and thought. To keep these values and privileges citizens have to be mindful of who best represents them in office.
“Elections belong to the people. It's their decision. If they decide to turn their back on the fire and burn their behinds, then they will just have to sit on their blisters.” ~ Abraham Lincoln
Peace.
