Read MoreWith every step that is taken there is something to notice. All too often the pace of our step is burdened with demands on our time. When we do have time to slow our pace and take interest in where our steps take us, we can be surprised and amazed.
This is a female Eastern Swallowtail Butterfly that was on the path of our steps recently. Fortunately we were blessed with the gift of a slow pace and thus were graced with noticing the beauty of this colorful creature. The swallowtail is native to North America. It is one of the most common butterflies in the eastern United States. It flies from spring to fall, during which it produces two to three broods. This was my first time to see one in the wild, and I was grateful to take the time to notice and capture its beauty. I love the colors.
"Small steps may appear unimpressive, but don't be deceived. They are the means by which perspectives are subtly altered, mountains are gradually scaled, and lives are drastically changed.”
