Planting flowers is a wonderful experience for me. Maybe it is because here in the foothills our weather is not consistently warm enough until Memorial Day so there is an excitement that builds
for the day I select my choice of plants and colors, bring them home and plant them in their summer home. It is a day I always look forward to with heightened enthusiasm. I love to have a day outside devoted to this activity. I enjoy the smell and feel of the soil, the sounds of nature around me and the solitude that this activity provides. These flowers will be food for the hummingbirds and hopefully bees throughout the summer and provide a visual beauty that feeds our soul.
