I turned a page on my age this weekend. Although this could be humbling and sobering, I choose to be excited about birthdays. I think having a birthday always beats Option B. I do not have the childlike excitement and anticipation and thrill that I enjoyed in my early birthdays but I do feel grateful and blessed to have more time to live fully, more chances to be kind, love, and live. Birthdays are lovely in the way that family makes you feel like you are the most special person ever and friends reach out with kind words.

I chose to spend my birthday evening with family enjoying mindless eye candy of the red carpet and the fun of the Oscars. These images capture the silliness we enjoyed of our own red carpet and evening. The questions and answers on our red carpet were hilarious.
