Read MoreBeing a part of an organization that you enjoy, gain knowledge from, and share interests is highly enjoyable. One of these I belong to is Evergreen Camera Club. They have become my camera family and friends. This club is just filled with people who enjoy what they do and value helping others. I was a grateful recipient of help from two members. Dave and Charles helped me with card issues and upping my skill with my flash. In a post about a month ago, I mentioned I took my card issues to B & H where Gerry patiently helped me. How Gerry ended up helping me was deciding that my cards had been zapped by static electricity thus I needed new cards. Dave all along was skeptical of Gerry's advice and wanted to have my cards so he could discover my issue. Dave returned my fully restored CF card and explained what caused the problem. I will not go into detail here but just say that it was the process I used to upload images and format my card that caused my problem not static electricity. I had asked Charles to help me with my flash settings. He is a professional portrait and wedding photographer. Charles spent a couple hours with me patiently guiding me through practice and key factors from his work with light. He assisted me with an issue I had been experiencing with my color checker and gave me steps to take. Both of these friends gave me the gifts of time and knowledge. I am deeply grateful for their generosity. Unless you try to do something beyond what you have already mastered, you will never grow.~ Ralph Waldo Emerson Peace.
