Gratitude Photography Project 2014
Read MoreMy husband and I have wanted to visit Palisade, Colorado for some time. He is the number one peach fan of this area so we hope to mark this off our list this peach season. My adventure friend of many years and I planned to make this area our focus last week. We went for the biking along the wine and fruit byway. The peaches still need time, but we enjoyed the other bounties of this terrific area. Bordered on the north by the Book Cliff Range this area enjoys a good climate for growing fruit, grapes for wine and then with a greenhouse most anything.
The route was a perfect setting to ride our bikes and ponder the unique beauty of this area. Passed by the occasional car or truck, we mainly had this road to ourselves and it was worthwhile to stop along the way and taste the offerings from the local farms and vineyards. It was a perfect getaway for two friends to share time together. I am grateful for the people who work this land and offer us the fruits of their labor. The unique beauty of this area is a gift as well. I look forward to returning with my favorite peach connoisseur in a few weeks.
